Creating a wildlife garden can be a valuable resource as well as being an attractive feature. The garden uses plants which naturally attract butterflies, bees and other beneficial insects as well as featuring wildlife habitats and a bird feeding station. This kit uses peat-free premium coir compost which is supplied in dry blocks. Each block will need soaking before use for which you will need a large container capable of holding 60 litres such as a wheelbarrow, a large Tub Trug or double-bagged heavy duty bin bags. A 4 kg block expands to around 60 litres of compost! As the weight is so much lighter than a conventional bag of compost (around 20kg), this saves on transport costs and fuel making it an all-round environmentally friendlier alternative.
